Once dubbed 'The Best New Band in Britain', the iconic Britpop band Suede will bring their The Antidepressants Tour in Hong Kong to Freespace at Art Park in West Kowloon on Saturday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m. This marks the band's return to Hong Kong after a decade since their last performance here in August 2016 as part of their world tour. Tickets are priced at HK$1,280, HK$880, and HK$580, and will be available for purchase on Trip.com starting March 4.
Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 1993, Suede has maintained a strong following among Britpop fans in the UK and Hong Kong, with multiple sold-out concerts in the city. Their latest album, Antidepressants, released last year, received critical acclaim from international media outlets, including The Guardian, Uncut, and Clash. The album was praised for its energetic and grand presentation, solidifying Suede's status as one of the most influential and enduring bands of their generation, even after more than 30 years since their formation.
With a career spanning over three decades, Suede has produced numerous classic hits that have stood the test of time, including So Young, New Generation, Trash, Saturday Night, and Beautiful Ones, to name a few. Their Hong Kong concert, held at the outdoor venue of Freespace at Art Park, will feature a unique T-stage design, allowing fans to get up close and personal with lead vocalist Brett Anderson. The standing rock zone promises an unforgettable and unrestrained live music experience, making the 10-year wait for Suede's return well worth it for their devoted Hong Kong fans.
